EJC Student Featured on Live Radio Station Broadcast

EJC student KaMiya Barrett is originally from Washington DC. She first attended Keystone Job Corps with a certificate in Office Administration and has advanced her training at the Edison Job Corps Academy in Advanced IT courses. At a young age, she has always been passionate about people and computers and has always been considered a bright focused student.  KaMiya decided to attend the Job Corps Academy because she would be helping to provide for her family.

Edison Job Corps Academy student KaMiya B.  and Ms. Julia Gibson (BCL) were featured on the Empowerment Hour Radio Show with the African American Chamber of Commerce.  KaMiya discussed her story and highlighted her achievements. Most importantly she discussed what she learned from the  Advanced A+ Trade and her plan to use her knowledge to seek gainful employment and give back to society upon returning home to Virginia.
