After Graduating from the Jackson Public School System, Lillian L. Herring decided not to attend college, but to attend the Finch-Henry Job Corps Center. Her goal was to become a nurse. She entered the program on March 18, 2008. While enrolled at Finch-Henry, Lillian became the president of our Student Government Association as well as a center ambassador. While enrolled, Lillian was selected by the National Office of Job Corps to serve as a student ambassador in Senator Thad Cochran office, former Mississippi U.S. Senator during the NJCA Summit held in Washington, DC. Lillian graduated on July 1, 2010 and enrolled in the Center’s ACT Program with Northwest Mississippi Community College where she obtained her AA degree in Business Administration. She later enrolled at Belhaven University and obtained her Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Human Resources. She worked at Catherines Retail store as a manager while working on her Master’s degree at Belhaven University. After graduation with her Master’s in Human Resource Personnel, she move to Memphis, TN to accept a position at the Dr. Benjamin Hooks Job Corps Center. Lillian is currently working in Resource Management and attending Tulane Law School majoring in labor and employment law.
