The Fred G. Acosta Job Corps Recognizes Partnerships at the 2010 Recognition Dinner
December 31st, 2010
On December 17, 2010 the Fred G. Acosta Job Corps had the opportunity to recognize some very important partners. Every year the Center recognizes individuals and employers who have made an impact on our students throughout the year.
This year we honored Jennifer Cortum of the Pima Air and Space Museum as Community Relations Council Member of the Year. Her dedication to our students and staff is always apparent in the way she actively participates at center events, she also mentors the students, provides work-based Learning opportunities for students and much more. We also honored two employers who mentor and create job opportunities for students of the Fred G. Acosta Job Corps Center. Frank Naughton was on hand to receive recognition as the 2010 Employer of the Year for Naughton’s Plumbing Supply. Mike Nicholson received the Work Based learning Site of the Year for Brake Max. Special recognition went to Sergeant Julio Armenta for his dedication to the students of the Center always going above and Beyond.
The Center isvery grateful for partnerships like these!
