Senator Warren Speaks at Clark University

Grafton Job Corps Peer Leadership Coordinator Michelle Cook, and two students Laronta Black and Jacqueline Campos Avalos attended the presentation put on by Senator Elizabeth Warren at Clark University in Worcester, MA.  The Senator discussed the Middle Class and how it has changed from 1980 to 2015.  She spoke about her family and how hard things were for her growing up back then.  The senator said, “If we want change for our children and families, we need to change.”  She went on to say ” I didn’t know then that the daughter of a janitor would one day be your next Senator.

It was eye-0pening to the students hearing about the changes to the middle class over the course of 35 years.  They also learned that nothing in this life time is impossible, you only have to want it and be willing to make the changes in your life to obtain them.
