Jacksonville Job Corps Honor Dr. King

Students and staff from the Jacksonville Job Corps Center honored  Dr. Martin Luther King by participating in the  annual MLK Parade.  The parade began at EverField with over 350 parade participants.  Cars, trucks, motorcycles and hundreds of walkers  lined up to join in the celebration of Dr. King.  The parade was 2 miles long and lasted from 10:00a.m.-2:00p.m.  Hundreds of onlookers cheered as displays passed along the city streets.

Students from the C.N. A., Pharmacy Tech and M/A did creative banners showcasing their trade and Dr. King.  As students walked the 2 mile trail waving and engaging parade participants Y2Y wrist bands were shared with the youth.  The Y2Y banner was also  a part of the parade display for the Jacksonville Job Corps Center.
