The Jacksonville Job Corps Center celebrated it’s Spring Graduation on Friday August 24th, 2027 at the Hicks Auditorium at the Downtown Library.  Councilman Reginald Brown was the graduation speaker, he brought a message of inspiration and vision to the graduates.  The graduation theme was “Dream Big” and never give up.  He encouraged the graduates to  never give up and when adversities raises it’s head but  fight through it and keep going.  Councilman Samuel Newby brought enthusiastic and heartfelt greeting from the City of Jacksonville.  Two graduates were presented with the Center Director’s Award, Mr. Alexander Valencia and Ms. Nija Nash were the  award recipients.  Both graduates  exemplified what it means to be a leader, a model student, vision and purpose.  Both students are enrolled in college and plan professional careers.
