[1] [2] [3]If you don’t know who Ebony Webb is, then you must have never set foot on the Little Rock Job Corps Center. Ebony, a constant smiling face and positive spirit, left us on March 15th to begin Advanced Training for Heavy Truck Driving at Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center in Morganfield, Kentucky.

Ebony is originally from Blytheville, Arkansas, and chose to come to Little Rock Job Corps to better her employability skills. Ebony chose to complete the Security Trade while on center, and earned her certifications in CPR, First Aid, AED, and FEMA. Having completed six weeks of WBL with the security staff on center, Ebony got first-hand experience of what it was to be a security guard. Ebony was thankful for her time on WBL, as it gave her the opportunity to meet and speak with “every staff and student on center.”

Ebony was heavily involved with Magnolia Dorm Leadership, as she served as the President of Magnolia for several months until she transferred to Earle C. Clements. Ebony also served as Treasurer for SGA on center. Ebony was also chosen as the class Valedictorian for the February Commencement at Little Rock Job Corps.

Ebony’s plans after Advanced Training include working for Prime Trucking Company for 6 months to gain the needed experience to move on to another company closer to Little Rock, where her fiancé lives. Ebony’s dream is to team up with her sister, who is also involved with heavy truck driving, so they can drive cross country together.

Ebony’s words of advice to future students are to, “Mind your business, focus on yourself. When you get focused on yourself, then you don’t have time for drama and you will be successful in this program.” Ebony also stated that her high school quote was “be the person your dog thinks you are.” She went on to say that she wants everyone to understand that this quote means to be the best version of yourself; “you are beautiful, wonderful, and the best thing ever.”

Congratulations, Ebony! We at Little Rock know that you will go on to achieve great things in life, wherever it may lead!
