The Community Relations Council Meeting that was held on Dec. 3 was a great success. The staff and students were great hosts to the 21 organizations that participated. Several organizations, including representatives from all 3 Arkansas Congressional Offices (Senators John Boozman and Tom Cotton and Representative French Hill), in attendance were familiar with Job Corps but had never been to the Center or had not worked with us previously. The Student Government Association welcomed our guests and introduced the Center Director.
Center Director, Angela Rackley, gave a program overview and talked about the vision for the Center and the importance of collaboration. Several organizations shared their perspective on what they could do for the Center and on what the Center could offer to their organization.
Little Rock will follow up with all of the attendees to engage partnership opportunities. The Center is very excited and look forward to exposing its students to new employment and community service opportunities.
