Families in Transition & New Hampshire Job Corps – Students Giving Back

New Hampshire Job Corps students have partnered with Families in Transition (FIT) to support their efforts in providing shelter for homeless families, and support & services for nearly homeless families. In December students volunteered at the FIT Holiday party and participated in the Candle Light Vigil to promote the newest Shelter Grand Opening in downtown Manchester.

Most recently, students worked in the processing area of the Families in Transition OutFITters Thrift Store. Students volunteered on Saturday, January 9th for two hours, sorting through clothing to prepare them for families in need. Job Corps students plan to volunteer at the OutFITters Thrift Store on an ongoing basis, at least 2-3 times a month.
