NH Job Corps Invited to Attend the U.S. Dept. of Labor Women’s Bureau Roundtable

NH Job Corps Center Business & Community Liaison Director Cassie Gudek attended the U.S. Dept. of Labor Women’s Bureau Roundtable regarding Local Opportunities for Apprenticeship and Employment on Wednesday May 4th at the Seacoast NH Works Office. Representatives from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs and the Office of Apprenticeship joined the Women’s Bureau to discuss several new programs including a “megaproject” at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Cassie discussed the NH Job Corps program and our efforts at working with young women to promote non-traditional career paths and options. This excellent informational session was also a great networking opportunity for the Job Corps Center.
