Milwaukee Job Corps Center Material Handling Students gets hired at Amazon

Milwaukee Job Corps trainee, Jean Paul Masudi, joined Material Handling & Distribution Trade soon after Distance Learning launched.  By working with his counselor, Mr. Hurst, they identified Material Handling and Manufacturing would be his best option while entering Penn Foster High School.  Jean Paul wanted to choose the best career path that aligned with his long-term goal to attend college. After talking with both trade instructors, Masudi decided Material Handling would be the right path to complete first and to take a second trade in Manufacturing while completing Penn Foster. Masudi has been very diligent in attending GOOGLE Classroom Meets, completing online assignments and his work via the study packets he is being sent. He works closely with his trade instructor, Mr. Miller, on a daily basis and discusses temporary employment as a way to help support his family while participating in Distance Learning. One position Mr. Miller found was at a fulfillment center, Amazon, located in Oak Creek, a southern suburb of Milwaukee. Miller guided Masudi with instructions on how to apply and was invited to interview on July 7th.  During the interview he was able to share he has obtained OSHA-10 certification while in his trade and his knowledge about logistics.  Masudi was immediately offered a $16 an hour position and requested he starts the next day.
