Muhlenberg Job Corps Celebrates MLK Day

February 7th, 2019

The Student Government Association and the Youth2Youth organization at Muhlenberg Job Corps didn’t let the frigid weather stop them from enjoying Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The SGA and Y2Y hosted a center-wide celebration to honor Dr. King and his accomplishments.

Amy Kline, MJCC’s administrative assistant, led all activities for the celebration, including helping design a t-shirt that focused on Civil Rights leaders and their work.

The celebration started with the critically acclaimed movie Selma, followed by refreshments and games, including Black History Trivia. The event concluded with the showing of the movie Malcom X.

Thanks to Amy Kline, the Muhlenberg Job Corps SGA and Y2Y for helping MJCC remember the great works of Dr. King.
