A huge congratulations goes out to the Muhlenberg job Corps Center’s powerlifting team for their great success at the Mt. Juliet Body Shop Classic Power Lifting Meet on Saturday, April 30th, 2016.  The team did an excellent job in representing MJCC with their positive attitudes that resulted in 1st place wins in the following categories:

1. Timothy Kitchens – 1st place bench press for the 145 lb weight class
2. Montavious Gibson – 1st place deadlift for Junior blass (400 lb deadlift)
3. Kenneth Johnson – 1st place bench press for the 165 lb weight class (300 lb bench press)
4. Dwight Lightbourn – 1st place bench press for the Junior Class (285 lb bench press)
5. Michael McClanahan – 1st place bench press for the 200 lb weight class (200 lb bench press)
6. Michael McClanahan – 1st place curl (125 lb curl)
7. JaRon Campbell – 1st place deadlift for the 200 lb weight class (555 lb dead lift)
8. JaRon Campbell – Best overall Lifter (555 lb deadlift, 515 lb squat, and 275 lb bench press)

The Omega Force Co-founder was so impressed with the students that he invited them to come on stage to perform at the upcoming Omega Force presentation to be held at the Muhlenberg County Fair in June.   The weight lifting team is coached by Kyle Winters (recreation staff), and Robbie McGehee-Wright (recreation manager).
