The Muhlenberg Job Corps Health Services staff and health career students sponsored a Health Fair to bring awareness to the healthy service options that are available in their communities.

Four of the thirteen informational booths sponsored by students where C.M.A. students performed blood pressure checks, health advocates distributed information on drugs and alcohol prevention, shared information and purpose of the S.A.R.T. (Sexual Assault Response Team), and the H.E.A.L.S. (Healthy Eating Active Life Styles) provided healthy eating and exercise information.  Many organization from the community also supported the event which were:  Owensboro Health, Muhlenberg 911 Dispatch, Greenville Fire Department, Muhlenberg Emergency Management Services, Muhlenberg County Health Department, H.R. Ministries, Mathew 25, KYnect, and Pennyroyal Mental Health.

The students were required to visit each booth to learn a health fact and get their attendance card signed.  The cards turned in were drawn for healthy door prizes such as Wal-Mart gift cards, healthy granola bars, Gatorade, trail mix, and dried fruit snacks.
