Nicklas Swords Getting Serious About His Future

Greenville, KY- Nicklas Swords, a native from Miami, Florida, changes his ways to become successful at Muhlenberg Job Corps.  In 2016 Swords admits goofing off a little and not taking things serious hurt him early on when he attended Florida International College. When Swords enrolled at Muhlenberg Job Corps on February 6, 2017, he knew it was time for a change.  Swords new found discipline and hard work ethic set him onto a pathway of success. He graduated from the Muhlenberg Pharmacy Technician Program and is a member of the National Health Association.  This was just getting the ball rolling for Swords at MJCC. While at Muhlenberg Job Corps Swords has earned two Associates degrees one in Art and another in Science attending Madisonville Community College.

One of the most impressionable people that Swords encountered while enrolled at MJCC were CPP/CTR specialist Crystal Chandler He states, “Mrs. Chandler encouraged my class to take the program very seriously and this type of mindset will reward you in the end.”   Swords also found familiarity with Brandon Wood who is another CPP/CTR specialist. Swords said “Mr. Wood had a discipline style that reminded him of his father and it worked well with me.”

Advice Swords gives regarding the MJCC program, “Be careful of getting involved in romantic relationships.  They distract you from the reason you are here.”  He plans to start classes at the Western Kentucky University located in Bowling Green. This is where he will earn his degree in Organizational Leadership and minor in Business Administration.  His classes begin on January 22.  MJCC looks forward to hearing about Nicklas Swords future success.
