Pay It Forward, was the message that AmeriCorps Public Allies conveyed to the students at a recent assembly, describing employment opportunities within their program. Public Allies is a national movement grounded in the conviction that everyone leads. They believe that everyone can make a difference and can work to inspire more citizens to believe in themselves, step up, and act. Throughout our nation’s history, lasting social change has always resulted from the courageous acts of many, not just the inspiration of the few.

To participate in the program, individuals must have at least a high school diploma or GED, be a U.S. citizen or have permanent residency, and be at least 17 years of age. You must also be committed to making a difference. Many New Haven Job Corps Students took the opportunity to apply on line.
