Congratulations to North Texas Job Corps student Tattianna Gotlewski, who made the Dean’s List this past spring semester at Collin College.  She entered her first semester of college in the spring with a course load of 15 credit hours and earned a 3.8 GPA while doing her class work entirely online.  Gotlewski is enrolled in the AAS Office Systems Technology degree program.  She is currently taking 6 hours in summer school.

She recently was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society in recognition of her academic achievement.  Gotlewski is attending college through the North Texas Job Corps Advance Career Training program that allows qualifying NTJC students to attend college at Collin College at no cost to themselves after completing their center Career Technical Training programs.  Her future goals are to obtain her associate degree in Business, but her passion is to rehabilitate animals, especially exotic animals.

Job Corps is the largest nationwide residential career training program in the country and has been operating for more that 50 years.  Job Corps has trained and educated over two million individuals since 1964.  The North Texas Job Corps center is located in McKinney, TX.  Their job training program helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 train for meaningful careers in the 15 trades offered on campus in Construction, Healthcare, Hospitality, Material Distribution, Homeland Security and Business.  Students are also able to complete their high school education and obtain employment.
