Former Pine Knot Job Corps student returns as an Instructor

The Pine Knot Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center (PKJCCCC) is pleased to announce that a former student has recently returned to Center in a new capacity. Brandon Barklage was hired by ACRT, Inc. as an Urban Forestry Instructor here at the PKJCCCC. Barklage, a 2008 graduate, is an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Tree Worker with several years of practical experience in the field.

“Being an Instructor was always one of my goals, so getting the opportunity to come back to the familiar surroundings of this Center has allowed for a very comfortable transition” said Instructor Barklage. “As a student, my Instructors not only taught me how to become employable, but their character and professionalism also made them huge influences in my life, so I fully realize the importance of this position.”
