Men’s Conference at Potomac JCC

On Tuesday, November 14th, Potomac JCC hosted a men’s conference for all male students.  The conference was hosted by Recreation Specialist/Sports Coach, Mr. Myron Jones and Student Personal Assistant, Mr. Julius Penn.  The event was Emceed by Potomac student Darrell Nightingale.  The event lasted the duration of a normal training day on center and focused on what it means and takes to be a man in the workplace and society.  The conference also worked on professional conduct and attire in the workplace and included guests speakers and motivational words from fellow Potomac students.  The guest speaker was Pastor Ernest Lyles, and he addressed the importance of living a good life and what that will allow you to accomplish as men in the world.  Mr. Samuel Gaddy, Dorm Supervisor, spoke on Dressing for Success and Mr. Donald Johnson, Student Personnel Officer, spoke on proper etiquette.  The event was very well received by Potomac’s male students.  Thank you to all staff and guest speakers for your help in throwing a wonderful conference.
