Red Rock instructors receive Google Classroom Certifications

In the midst of COVID-19 and migration to Distant Learning, the Red Rock Job Corps Center and Equus Workforce Solutions challenged the Career Development team. As the method of delivery of assignments and instruction, Google Classroom seemed to be the best solution, said Academic Manager Matt Waltman. He said, “As educators, who have proven knowledge on the use of Google tools in the classroom, these staff members have proven their proficiency by successfully earning their Google Classroom Educator I Certification.” The exam challenged staff to “return to the classroom,” study hard, and practice their Google skills in order to successfully pass this exam.  Congratulations to the staff for their dedication and commitment to serving the students of Red Rock Job Corps.  Red Rock leads all Equus Workforce Solution Job Corps Centers with 14 certified educators, he said. Google Certified instructors are: Jessica Conaway, Keegan Carpenter and Olivia Schumacher, Career Prep, Stephen Comly, Math, Matt Navin, Driver’s Education; Nathaniel Thomas, GED/TABE, Lenette Weinman, GED/Reading, Nick Dautel, Auto Technology, Elizabeth Schaeffer, Work-Based Learning, Georgia Clearwater-Brown, Career Transition Readiness, Jason Jones, Human Service Worker advanced training instructor, Sherry Whitenight, High School Online, Harry Kocylowski, Auto Collision Repair, Mehta Ramlall, Career Transition Readiness.
