There’s nothing like a vegetable garden to tend to for months during the summer. It definitely kept some of the students busy! It began in April as part of the Q2 project that MTC requested in celebration of their 40th anniversary. The project was to help feed the hungry in the community. There were a few hiccups that set the garden back a bit but with plenty of effort, it was back on track. In the Spring, Shriver Job Corps also ran a 6 week Food Drive as well.
The harvest couldn’t come fast enough and when it did, it’s was rewarding to fill a box and deliver the goods to Loaves and Fishes, a local food pantry!
