Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center Painting students and their instructor Lyuda Caselli painted the entire inside of the Sparks Senior Center as part of the Leadership Reno-Sparks 2012’s class leaderhip project.  The leadership class is made up of various Chamber members and is put on annually by the Chamber of Commerce.  Class members come from many different companies and employers in the area.  Sierra Nevada Job Corps was asked to help the class with its project and contributed 120 hours of work over three weeks.

The students and Ms. Caselli attended the ribbon cutting for the renovated building yesterday and were publicly thanked by the group for not only their help, but their hard work, professionalism, and commitment to helping the senior citizens of our community.  The facility truly looks beautiful.  The center’s senior patrons were incredibly thankful for their new environment and the knowledge that the community really does care about them.  In attendance at the event were Sparks City Mayor Geno Martini, Washoe County Commissioner Kitty Jung, Washoe County Manager Katy Simon and Katy Pace, district representative for Senator Dean Heller.
