Business Tour leads to Student Hire

Several current and former St. Louis Job Corps Center Office Assistant trade students participated in job shadowing with Central Portfolio Control Debt Collections Agency in Chesterfield, Missouri. They spoke with the Vice President of Business Development, Dean Christiansen about expectations of Collections Agents and details related to the Collections business. They received an actual breakdown of a Collections Agent position as they sat with employees of the company. Students were enlightened as Christiansen talked about expectations emphasized by the company that mirror Job Corps Career Success Standards. Former student Jeffrey Carter interviewed with Christiansen for a position that starts with $11 an hour plus performance bonuses.
