During the months of February and March, 2021, the St. Louis Job Corps Center participated in a book drive sponsored by our parent company, Management and Training Corporation (MTC). We collected gently used books and asked our staff and partners to purchase books to donate; MTC generously provided a $500 credit with Amazon to strengthen our donation. “Pathways to Progress,” one of our many community partners was the recipient of our book drive; their primary request was to receive children’s books that could be provided as gifts to the boys and girls of the families they serve. Pathways is a charitable organization that provides long-term assistance and resource to approximately 80 families at a time who struggle with the difficulties of poverty. It is our hope that the books will bring a few smiles and promote a little more reading at home.
