On Wednesday June 8, 2016 the SGA hosted a Student vs. Staff Lip Sync Battle in the movie room. Trainees were invited to participate in performing their favorite songs while battling it out against the staff. Tamia Robinson kicked off the night with a high energy performance to a song by artist, “Special K”. Counselor Joshua Kohansamad took us back to the year 1999 with a performance of “I want it that way” by the Backstreet Boys. Mr. Josh had the support of his fellow counselors, Michellee’ Harris and Paige Blossom as background dancers. Student song choices ranged from the rock group “Warrant” to “Let it go” from the kid friendly movie “Frozen”. Ms. Deja, Ms. Blossom and Ms. Claire also participated, performing songs by artist like Rihanna and Cyndi Lauper. The ladies gave it their all, but it was Tamia Robinson who took home bragging rights. Closing out the night with a performance of “Upgrade You” by Beyonce’ Tamia impressed the crowd with her dance moves and lip sync abilities making her the champion of the night. Overall the night was a success, staff and students are already wondering when the next battle will take place!
