Volunteering at Love Ministries

January 29th, 2016

Building Construction Technology students recently volunteered their time to fix and repaint the transitional house of Love Ministries in Oakland. Owned and administered by the church, the house is called home by six young men and a father and son transitioning from life on the streets. The house provides a safe place for these young men to get back on their feet. After eighteen years, the house needed minor repairs and a fresh coat of paint. BCT heard about this and jumped to assist. The students patched holes, rehung doors and completely repainted the bedrooms and hallways. Church officials said they could not be happier with the work and professionalism of the BCT students.
