The Light at the end of Tunnel

Nathan Thomas from Louisville, Kentucky enrolled in Whitney M. Young Job Corps Center March 12, 2018. Nathan experience various challenges such as lack of motivation, and difficulty in progressing in his local high school. He was advised by his principle to apply to Whitney M. Young Job Corps Center. Nathan appreciated the smaller classroom and one on one instructional learning provided by the center.
While on center, Green was able to obtain his drivers permit, and high school diploma through Eminence High School. With his passion for welding, Nathan was able to graduate the program with his Certification in Welding. During his training program in Welding, Whitney M. Young Job Corps Work Based Learning Program helped him gain employment with their current partner Wire Crafters, October 18,2018 starting at $17.00 an hour.
Currently, Nathan Green continues his employment with Wire Crafters at a salary of $24.75 an hour. Nathan Green goal is to advance through Wire Crafter excel program in Motoman Robotics. He hopes to transition to the engineer department after completion of program. Nathan wants to remind all his fellow peers “Only you can stop yourself”.
