Woodstock JCC Hosts Community Relations Meeting

Woodstock held its Community Relations Council (CRC) Meeting from 9-10 a.m. in the Women’s Center on March 17.  The meeting, organized by Tammi Bush, Business & Community Liaison Manager, and was well attended.  The Center had the pleasure of having Baltimore County Councilman Julian Jones present.

Speakers included Cinnamon Brown Mack, Founder/CEO of Victorious Attitudes for Everyday Life (VAEL), Kenny Brown, Publisher, Northwest Voice Newspaper, Kimberly Plummer, HR, Lifebridge Health and Woodstock’s Yearbook Club Members.

Woodstock Deputy Center Director Charlotte Scruggs led the meeting and provided a Center update.  Ms. Scruggs discussed the mission of Job Corps, needs of the Center and the Center’s goals.  Kristi France, Maryland Career Transition Services Director, provided an overview of her area and placement needs.  Woodstock’s Transition Readiness (CTR) Manager, Mrs. Drummond explained the CTR process and the Center’s need for additional Work-Based Learning sites.  She distributed an MOU to all those in attendance for review and consideration.  The next CRC meeting is scheduled for June 23.
